    • Community Events

      Dear All,

If you haven’t heard yet, we wanted to extend a personal invitation to share the details of the next event in the Communicating with Purpose: Church Coaching & Communications Series and to let you know that there are still a few days left for you to register.

Building on the foundational principles discussed in the previous workshops you attended, this in-person workshop will focus on developing effective strategies for planning and promoting church events to engage your local community, particularly as we enter the Christmas season—a prime opportunity for connection and meaningful engagement.

This event will take place on Saturday 9th November from 1:00pm to 4:30pm at the Parramatta Centenary Uniting Church (46 Sorrell St. North Parramatta). Light refreshments will be provided.

This workshop is designed to provide hands-on tools and strategies to cultivate successful church and mission events. You’ll gain insights on how to create a lasting impact and build stronger relationships within your congregation and the wider community.

      This workshop will help you:
      • Reflect on the Theology of hospitality and fellowship, exploring how events and engagement activities integrate with your church's mission.
      • Create effective event strategies that align with your church's mission and encourage a sense of community.
      • Identify event goals and target audiences to enhance the successful promotion of your events.
      • Understand your community’s needs to customise events for greater engagement and impact.
      • Learn effective strategies and tools to leverage and increase event success.

In an article published by NCLS, data from a survey conducted by NCLS Research revealed that a significant percentage of Australians are open to an invitation to church at Christmas—likely more than you might expect. With this insight, it’s clear how essential church events can be during this season, offering a unique opportunity for your congregation to deepen engagement and cultivate meaningful connections. You can read more about the article here.

We believe this workshop will be a beneficial opportunity for a collection of members from local congregations to join together, learn, and grow in their ability to communicate the heart of their church through events and engaging with the community.

Please RSVP by Monday 4th November so we can prepare materials and refreshments for everyone.
If you have any further questions about the event, please feel free to contact our office on (02) 9683 5023 or email [email protected].

We look forward to having you join us and the team from Wild Hive again for this valuable session as we work together to support our faith communities.

      Blessings,
      The PNP Team

View this email in your browser

      Introducing...
the new intergenerational resource from the Assembly

      Dear Uniting Church friends,
Last week saw the launch of the Uniting Church’s vision for an Intergenerational Church... a Church where every generation is engaged together in active discipleship, growing and sharing faith in Jesus, a Church for all ages where faith and discipleship is encouraged, equipped, and expressed intergenerationally.
More than just a set of nice words, the new Assembly resource, Being an Intergenerational Church, comprises: an expression of commitment, a statement of vision, an invitation to act and resources to explore.
For individuals, teams, congregations, church councils, presbyteries and synods, this resource equips us all for the challenge of being the genuinely intergenerational church we are called to be, communities of faith where all are welcomed, nurtured and included.
This collaborative resource flows from the work of the Assembly Resourcing Unit and ministry specialists across the country.
This email is an invitation for you to…
      • Download and read Being an Intergenerational Church
      • Forward the resource to other key leaders
      • Reflect and act upon the resource as a leadership team
      • Share the resource with your whole church community
Printed copies of this resource are being made available to congregations around the country. To find out more about the arrangements for your location, email [email protected].
For further assistance in becoming a more intergenerational church, go to the Assembly website or email us. We’d love to hear your feedback and your stories of Being an Intergenerational Church!

      Calling for Focus Group Nominations

The Act2 Project is hosting Focus Groups. We are asking you to nominate key leaders that we can contact to be part of these groups.

      Dear Minister and Local Leaders,

Thank you for your continual involvement with the Act2 Project thus far.
Between September 12th and October 5th, we are planning to facilitate focus groups to have targeted, specific and relevant conversations that engage ministers, lay leaders, members and participants in communities of faith across the breadth of the life of the Uniting Church in Australia.
We are well into the 'collective discernment' phase and are now looking to have another round of focus group conversations. In these focus group conversations, particular attention will be placed on Workstream 1 and the Directions given in the latest report.

We are asking for your help to
      • register to be involved in a focus group
      • forward this email to a leader in your community
We want to welcome a diversity of experiences from across the Uniting Church. Therefore we invite people to register for the Focus Groups. In some circumstances for size and balance we may not be able to accomodate your registration and look for another focus group in which you can participate.
Please follow the link below to register:
